Helps one to be more
grounded. Silver-grey metallic is an iron ore which is iron
oxide usually FeO2. It is one of the most grounding of all
stones; it reduces stress and combats insomnia. It is said to
help increase courage, concentrate energy and strengthen the
heart. It is very beneficial to those attracted to it, but it is
one of those stones that you either love or hate. A natural ferric oxide, Hematite improves all blood disorders. Reduces stressful effects of air travel, combats insomnia. Enhances astral projection, promotes balance, focus, convergence and concentration of energy. Said to increase courage. Also claimed to strengthen the heart and is good for reducing a rapid pulse. Hematite is a wonderful stone for worry because it helps you to be more grounded (at ease). Hematite is also used for protection of oneself and their home. Carry a small tumbled stone with you when you feel the need for protection from lets say, negative vibes. Hematite is great for those office meetings when you feel you may be challenged! Tourmaline is characterised by the vertical striations of its
crystals. The colour range is extensive, including pink, red,
blue, green, violet, yellow, black and colourless. Bi- and
tri-coloured specimens are common. My favourite variation is
watermelon, which has a pink core, surrounded by a green rim. Tourmalines' properties vary according to its colour. Black: protective, shielding against unwanted energies, and prevents others draining ones energy. Green: transforms negative energy to positive, attracts abundance and success.
